Register your business for free social media accounts on sites like Facebook and Twitter. Create a Google Places page to show up in local search results. You can use these services to promote business without paying a cent. There is no skill required to have an online social media presence. The best advice is to be active and engage with other active users in your target audience. If you start an account and never post content, it’s not going to do your business any good.
Post updates, photos, product information, new menu items, etc. Encourage customers to do the same and interact with those that retweet or @reply your messages. Build your brand and followers to create loyal fans and buyers.
